A recent study published in Veterinary Clinical Pathology by Chu, C. P., & Nabity, M. B., provided a comprehensive assessment of the optimal miRNA isolation and library preparation methods for small RNA‐seq research using canine biofluids. For library prep analysis, they compared the NEXTFLEX® Small RNA-seq kit v3 and the Illumina® TruSeq® Small RNA-seq kit. The authors concluded that the NEXTFLEX® Small RNA-seq kit v3 is the optimal library preparation method for
detection of potential biomarkers in canine serum and urine.
