Has anyone used AMPureXP beads older than 18 months, (assuming that they were stored properly)?

Hi there,
Off the top of my head I think I am using a bottle, stored at +4, that is currently sitting older than 18 months and they have performed perfectly in all my recent preps so I'd say you're good to go! |

I used AmpPure beads ~ + 4 month. They have worked. I have checked mine first with a not important sample. You can test yours with a DNA ladder. I think it is in general a good idea.

I have sometimes used Ampure beads that were 1-3 years past expiration date. They sort of work, but they seem to become less magnetic and and are therefore more difficult to work with.
