Default Washed out flowcell tiles- overclustered? Optical error?

Hi all. I'm having a problem on a GAIIx where the tiles for several lanes appear "washed out" from one side. There is a big, white blur coming off the left-hand edge of the tiles, obscuring about half of the tile. The lanes still have a very high percentage of passed-filter clusters, but the total cluster density is also very high. Our core does not recognize this error pheonotype- has anyone else seen this?
