Bioo Scientific (www.biooscientific.com) is a rapidly growing company with headquarters in Austin, TX offering high-quality next-generation sequencing, food and feed safety testing and life science product areas. This position is focused on the rapidly growing next-generation sequencing products business. The desired candidate will be a high-energy, top-gun capable of generating new business, converting end-users to Bioo Scientific’s superior products and increasing overall market penetration in your territory. If you have what it takes, you will be a key player in meeting our company-wide top-line sales growth objectives and our mission to dramatically expand our product reach. The Sales Representative position includes a base pay with substantial upside incentive/bonus.
The Role
• Directly responsible for sales into next-generation sequencing accounts in adefined territory Including core and CLIA facilities.
• Assume full responsibility for sales of assigned product lines, from lead generation, to qualification, evaluation, and closing.
• Skilled listener, with ability to understand the point of view of the customer
• Manage the sales pipeline to maximize the probability of meeting agreed sales targets.
• Provide sales forecasts to management.
• Work to develop new accounts throughout the territory.
• Track and report competitive activity in the territory.
• Organize and attend relevant conferences to generate leads.
• Produce quotations, and other sales related contracts and documents.
• Coordinate with Bioo Scientific application and automation specialists to produce customize solutions to win new business
• Develop a strong working relationship with current client base and interact with customers frequently to solve problems.
• Keep records in Bioo Scientific's CRM database up to date.
• Provide support for customer queries, to be deferred to technical support if necessary.
• Maintain strong rapport with existing Bioo Scientific customers through regular contacts.
• Candidate must be located within the defined territory and have existing relationships within regional accounts.
• Must have strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand/match customer needs with products/services of the company.
• Ability to deliver key product presentations in a clear and succinct way.
• A strong attention to detail, reliable record keeping.
Minimum requirements/qualifications:
• Scientific degree is required
• Strong understanding of molecular biology applications, ability to speak ‘customer language’.
• Minimum 2 years of proven track record in selling molecular biology solutions.
• Skilled negotiator, superior written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong team player able to work closely with regional business leaders and internal colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of NGS is an advantage.
• Role will require working from a home office with the ability to travel at least 75% of the time.
• Ability to travel to company’s headquarters in Austin, TX when required.
