    Hello everyone !!!

I am using this visualization tool called Circos and finding it a bit difficult to plot data and make images. I want to plot the methylation data of rat on rat genome using cirocs. So is there anyone with prior experience of doing the similar kind of work or knowledge of running circos ???

I suggest you follow the lessons from the site. Each lesson has code and the results of the images. Plot is complicated because it is very flexible and you have many different variables to control. Once you get your head around main plotting you should be fine.

Yes, I have used circos couple of times. Can you please let us know your issue with circos. As Drio suggested, circos is really flexible

        Ideogram in circos

        Hi,

I am trying to visualize my set of genes on the chromosome., ie want to create a customized ideogram. Can I do it using circos?

I have a list of genes ad their coordinates. I want to see their distribution on the chromosomes. Can I do it using circos?

I greatly appreciate your quick response.

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
            by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...

            Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
            by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
