For any one familiar with RNA-Seq data from TCGA. Are there any control samples included in level3 data. From what I understand from the sample identifier (TCGA-06-0673-11) the last number 11 is for normal tissue and I can't find any samples for RNA-seq.

Yes there are a number of normal-adjacent samples available for the RNA-Seq. In fact, you can freely browse and analyze the RNA-SeqV2 (level 3) gene-level data in GenePool by taking advantage of the growing genomics reference library available to everyone. It also includes sample-level metadata curated by folks at Station X to make it easy to find the samples you are interested in analyzing.
Incidentally, we've also included the isoform-, splice-junction-, and exon-level counts in GenePool's premium content.
