If you are new to command line you should download the pre-compiled binary version from this location: http://sourceforge.net/projects/soap...ovo2/bin/r240/. That would allow you to run it immediately once you untar the archive.

as u suggested i tried to install with this http://sourceforge.net/projects/soap...ovo2/bin/r240/ but still i didnt install it due to following error.

      /usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-suse-linux/4.1.0/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: un recognized option '--hash-style=both'
/usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-suse-linux/4.1.0/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: use the --help option for usage information
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
      make: *** [SOAPdenovo-63mer] Error 1

I am using suse linux 10 vertion and having old vertions of gnu, glibc and binutils.
is old vertions are the reason for the above problem.
      how to solve this problem.

If you had downloaded the precompiled linux binary they you would not need to "install/make" the program. I think you downloaded the file that has the word "src" in the file name.

        Instead download this file: http://sourceforge.net/projects/soap...0.tgz/download

          Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
          by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...

          Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
          by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
