Hi all,
I am trying to compare spesific gene abundance from two assembled metagenomics datasets. Does scaffold coverage calculated for every scaffold containing the gene enough to make the data comparable? |

If the sequenced samples had similar DNA concentration and are expected to have similar species abundance and the metagenomic coverage is similar, then maybe. Otherwise, probably not.
