Introducing Helicos tSMS™ Sequencing Services from Helicos
tSMS™ Sequencing Services
Helicos has recently launched a world-wide services program that provides scientists with immediate access to our revolutionary single molecule sequencing technologies. Our mission is to eliminate bottlenecks, to improve productivity as well as to continue the discovery of new and novel research and development findings in an affordable manner.
Our third generation sequencing technologies, the True Single Molecule Sequencing (tSMS™) for DNA and cDNA, and Direct RNA Sequencing (DRS™) for RNA, allows direct measurement of billions of individual nucleic acid molecules with high accuracy, simplicity, and scale. Our technologies require no amplification, ligation, cDNA synthesis (for Direct RNA Sequencing) or other complex sample manipulations, avoid biases introduced by other sequencing platforms and sample preparation strategies, and generate the most unbiased and quantitative views of the genetic material.
tSMS™ and DRS™ applications available as service include, but not limited to:
• Digital gene expression
• Quantitative polyadenylation site mapping
• Whole transcriptome analyses including coding and non-coding RNAs
• Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded and damaged/degraded RNA and DNA sample sequencing
• Small RNA sequencing
• ChIP-Seq
• Methyl-Seq
• RNA immunoprecipitation sequencing
• Characterization of RNA and DNA samples with limited, attomole-level quantities
