Responsible for analysis of Next Generation Sequencing data at the experimental application level. Analyze and summarize experimental results from both internal and external work. The ability to organize concise communications (both oral and written) is essential. This position can be based at our Guilford, CT or San Francisco, CA offices.
Essential skills and background include:
• Familiarity with any of the following: R, Bioconductor, and Perl
• Experience with a variety of sequencing alignment and assembly tools
• Experience with ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, and DNA re-sequencing using a combination of commercial and academic tool kits
• Working knowledge of genomic annotations and genomic browsers
• Strong statistical background is key
