  • Obtaining .bed list of hg19 genes

    Hi,

apologies if this has been asked before.

I would like to download/build a simple .bed file with all the known (UCSC, EnsEMBL or RefSeq) hg19 genes.

Is there such a thing somewhere? If not, how do I go about building one?

    Thank you in advance.

You can use BioMart on ensembl.org to download the coordinates of all the genes.

Or use the UCSC table browser (http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTables?command=start).

Both BioMart and UCSC will get the info you need. You may already be familiar with one or other.

Advancing Precision Medicine for Rare Diseases in Children
          by seqadmin

Many organizations study rare diseases, but few have a mission as impactful as Rady Children’s Institute for Genomic Medicine (RCIGM). “We are all about changing outcomes for children,” explained Dr. Stephen Kingsmore, President and CEO of the group. The institute’s initial goal was to provide rapid diagnoses for critically ill children and shorten their diagnostic odyssey, a term used to describe the long and arduous process it takes patients to obtain an accurate...
