Genomer - software to simplify genome finishing

    Hi Everyone,

I wrote some software to simplify the final steps in a genome project. Specifically finalizing the locations of contigs and annotations in an assembly. This software also makes it straightforward to generate the required files to submit a genome to GenBank.

I work on the command line mostly so I wrote this tool to work with revision control such as git and build files like GNU make. If you're interested in seeing more the website has several youtube screencasts.

    Thanks

Excellent. I am working on wheat bioinformatics. That helps a lot.

Pathogen Surveillance with Advanced Genomic Tools
        by seqadmin

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the need for proactive pathogen surveillance systems. As ongoing threats like avian influenza and newly emerging infections continue to pose risks, researchers are working to improve how quickly and accurately pathogens can be identified and tracked. In a recent SEQanswers webinar, two experts discussed how next-generation sequencing (NGS) and machine learning are shaping efforts to monitor viral variation and trace the origins of infectious...
