    smRNA sequence analysis without reference genome

    Dear all,

    I have some Illumina smRNA sequence results, but without reference genome, only some transcriptome data.

    Hence, I think I should align these reads into the mature sequence from miRbase.

    Except this, can I check other evidence?

    Can anyone give me some suggestions?
