  • Installing CisGenome

    Hello,

I have been trying to install CisGenome on my Linux system (Ubuntu 9.10), but I keep getting the following error when I run "make":

    cd cisgenome_project
    sudo make

    makefile:3: *** missing separator. Stop.

I don't know what to do, I have been searching through manuals and forums for weeks now. I have the build_essential package installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

Not sure, it might be that your makefile utility is non-standard.

Try running 'gmake' instead of 'make'.

If not installed you need to install GNU make (www.gnu.org)

        Hi,

perhaps a little outdated, but I just saw this and can report that cisgenome v1.2 just works fine on Ubuntu 10.04:

        1. The package comes with pre-compiled binaries (in cisgenome_v1.2/bin folder, just copy to a place like /usr/local/bin) -> that's it
        2. In case you like to compile on your own:
change to unpacked directory and say

        sh makefile

Compiles fine with the exception of tablesorter, I guess you will have to include some additional things in the header of the tablesorter.cpp file!
