We are organizing the 14th annual Workshop on Genomics and the 5th b-annual Workshop on Population and Speciation Genomics this coming January 2025 in Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic.
More details and applications for both workshops are available on the evomics site.
The Workshop on Genomics is designed to train participants in the most relevant topics in genomics, in a vibrant, immersive and inclusive environment. The Workshop on Genomics was developed in response to the increasing demand for training on how to effectively analyze and manage data generated by modern sequencing technologies. The Workshop curriculum includes extensive coverage of fundamental techniques required of all studies utilising modern sequencing data. While the Workshop on Genomics topics may change from year-to-year, efforts are made to devote significant amounts of time to techniques being used widely in the field (e.g. genome assembly, genome annotation, transcriptomics, metagenomics, population genomics).
The Workshop on Population and Speciation Genomics brings together an international collection of faculty members and Workshop participants to study and discuss current ideas and techniques for the analysis of genomic data on the level of populations and closely related species. The Workshop consists of a series of lectures, demonstrations and computer laboratories that cover theory and practice of population and speciation genomics analyses.
Both Workshops are held in beautiful Cesky Krumlov in the Southern Bohemain Region of the Czech Republic. We have been organizing courses here for over 15 years and have a deep relationship with the town, enabling us to provide excellent facilities for on-site training.
