    What GA stand for? Is it a used for sequencing?

    I think you're asking what Illumina "GA" means? The GA stands for "Genome Analyzer", the sequencing technology platform formerly called "Solexa" that is now owned and developed by Illumina.

      GA can also be stand for Genetic Algorithm (one approach at data analysis not often used with sequencing data) or Global Arrays (one approach at using multiple processor to analyze data, also not often used in programs for analyzing sequencing data.
      Michael.James.Clark's answer probably best addresses your question, but depending on where you saw GA it may mean any number of things.
