Hello all,
I am PhD student working on pathogen evolution, which I do by isolating genetic material from archaeological samples.... innately frustrating work! (I do get a breather when I work with modern samples though.) My lab wants to take advantage of the burst in NGS technology, and enrichment strategies for low quality DNA. But there's so many new protocols and new permutations of those protocols, I'm hoping this forum will be useful for working through problems.
Though, a quick search of the forums, I don't see a lot of posts from those working with ancient material. Anyone, anyone?
