Ok...I'll bite. My name is Loyal and I am currently finishing up my graduate work at Rutgers University in Piscataway, NJ. I have worked primarily on microRNA expression and activity in neural stem cell differentiation.
I started out designing and printing microarrays, and the natural progression over the past few years has been to move towards deep sequencing technolgies, especially for the field of small RNA discovery and exploration. Over the past couple of years I have picked up Perl/Python/PHP/MySQL/R and found them to be very useful for this kind of work. Rutgers just received a SOLiD machine last week and I can't wait to start with on the data.
Also, since I am finishing up shortly, anyone looking for a postdoc with experience with both the wet bench and nextgen data? I would love to speak with you
