*HELP with RNA seq data*
I have a question about Log(2) change 🤓I understand that this some measure of the change in transcript levels when comparing 2 treatments and is a ratio between the 2 treatment groups. What I cannot understand though is how to interpret the numbers. A log(2) fold change of more than 1 means enrichment (I think) and a negative log(2) fold enrichment is lower transcript levels (I think). Since log(2) fold change is a ratio, what does a log(2) change that is a positive value but less than 1 (+0 to 0.99) mean?
In an attempt to clarify my question: I have a table of log(2) fold changes that I am trying to interpret. I think a log(2) fold change of 2.2 = enrichment; a log(2) fold change of -0.33 is lower transcript levels (is this a correct interpretation?). What is a log(2) fold change of 0.67?
Any help is much appreciated
