Warp Drive Bio is looking for a computational biologist to join our team in Cambridge MA. WDB is committed to discovering innovative natural product drugs to treat serious unmet medical needs and is backed by significant funding from Sanofi, Greylock Ventures and Third Rock Ventures.
The ideal candidate for this position would have significant experience in de novo bacterial genome assembly and scaffolding from Illumina and other high-throughput sequencing platforms, as well as familiarity with tools to pre-process reads in FASTQ format. Experience programming in Perl or Python as well as writing complex SQL queries is also required. Prior experience with Sun Grid Engine would be highly valuable. The ability to report scientific findings clearly and concisely with appropriate analysis and presentation of data is critical.
