We are trying to decide if it would be better to hire additional techs or go with some sample prep automation. I have requested information on automation like the REM e and other automation that would be available with a liquid handler and not really getting anything.
Is there anybody out there that has done some automated amplicon preparation? If you have could you please share what you have learned about the advantages/disadvantages you have experienced. Of course please list the types of equipment you have used.
