Quality issue of fusion primer

Hi all,

Roche recommended the fusion primers should be HPLC-purified grade.

We wondered if anybody just use the standard desalting grade fusion primers for 454 work. So what is the error / mismatch rate at the MID and target specific primer region for using standard desalting grade primers?

Is there any comparison between two grade of primers?

I've always used standard primers and it has worked fine.
