Custom Illumina adapter synthesis

I had a question about the Illumina adapters? Has anyone had success in custom illumina adapter synthesis? Also what kind of purification did you use for the adapters? Is desalting sufficient or do you need HPLC purification? My understanding is that for modified oligos, HPLC purification is recommended.

I was in your same situation last month. You can get any custom adaptor sequence you need from a company called biooscientific.com. They also do adenylated adaptors. I've used standard desalting and hplc purification but haven't found a difference. Hplc purification just makes me feel cozy. Are you trying to make a library, let me know how it goes.
