Thumbs up SEQanswers published in Bioinformatics

Hi,

We are excited to tell you the official publication for SEQanswers is online now at Bioinformatics.

Highlights:

(1) Avg response time to a new post in SEQanswers is less than 1 Day. Still decreasing !
(2) #Discussion & #Post per month keep rising !

SEQanswers: An open access community for collaboratively decoding genomes

We have more updated version of the figures, which is even more impressive. We plan to put them into SEQwiki

See the latest SEQanswers paper figure 1 in http://seqanswers.com/wiki/Papers_Re...ing_SEQanswers, even more impressive than the figure in the paper!

If you guys want to cite SEQanswers in your papers (hopefully you do!) please use this manuscript. Prior to publication SEQanswers was cited almost 40 times!

Hopefully we can capture some of this success with citations to the paper!

Hi All,

My apologies if this is not the right place to place this question but I am curious about this issue.
I started a thread on acknowledging posts on the site - http://seqanswers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26742 - and have not received any answer yet. Find it quoted below:

I am aware that there's been a recent publication of the community which I would cite in future manuscripts. However, my question relates more to cases where one uses posts containing ideas or code/scripts which one could use partially or in full length.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Fernando
As I said, could anyone please clarify it for me?

Thanks in advance,

Cheers,

Fernando

You can certainly cite the thread ID that is found in the URL along with the manuscript. Not sure about a single post.

Thanks for wanting to cite our paper!

If you want an URL for an individual post, you can click the # number found in the right hand corner of the blue title bar at the top of that post.

Excellent Jamie. Thanks. I will cite the SEQanswers paper and attach the URL if I use information from the forum.
